Case Reports

How are you going with your case reports?

Looking for a little friendly guidance?

Let's go through this process step-by-step together. These simple steps will help you plan and execute your case reports, setting you on the path to achieving your goals. Let's get started!

1. Review the Guidelines and Criteria

  • The guidelines for the case reports can be found within the internship guidelines HERE
  • The case report submission forms and checklists can be found on the PsyBA website HERE

2. Client Selection

  • Review the available clients and select one that you think would be suitable for your case report with an intervention or assessment focus. Don't wait for the perfect client, it is important to get started!

3. Consultation in supervision

  • Schedule a meeting with your principal supervisor or a supervisor experienced with case reports to discuss your choice of client and to seek their input and recommendations. Clarify the expectations and guidelines for the case report.

4. Draft Completion

  • Begin drafting an initial outline of your case report based on the information you've gathered so far.
  • Schedule a meeting with either your principal or secondary supervisor to discuss your first draft and ask any questions about the process. Don't be disheartened if your supervisor requires multiple reviews of your case reports.

5. Review and Final Revisions

  • Work on completing your case report based on the feedback and guidance from your supervisor.
  • Ensure you follow the structure and format guidelines provided by PsyBA. Make the final revisions to ensure the report is comprehensive, well-organised, and within the word limit.

6. Sign-Off

  • Carefully review your case report for any remaining errors, inconsistencies, or areas that need improvement. Cross-check against the case reports submission checklist to ensure you haven't missed anything.
  • Take the final version of your case report to your supervisor for their final review and sign-off. Complete the Case Report Submission form in supervision for your principal supervisor to provide their signature.

7. Submission

  • Upload the case report to PsyBA HERE. Good Luck!
