Find Your Next Placement Opportunity with The Break Inc.
Jul 20, 2026
The Break Inc. is an award-winning charity based in Caulfield, Victoria, committed to addressing human suffering across the community. With programs spanning youth diversion, disability support, migrant and international student services, veteran support, aged care, and research, The Break offers a genuinely diverse and meaningful environment for provisional psychologists looking to build a strong clinical foundation.
The Break is currently welcoming up to five highly motivated provisional psychologists to join their team on a placement basis, accumulating hours toward general registration across a broad and varied client base.
What to Expect at The Break:
- A diverse client base spanning disability, veterans, aged care, youth, and migrant communities
- Weekly group supervision held on alternating Mondays and Tuesdays with a full-time onsite counselling supervisor available for client-related check-ins and support as needed
- Please note that the onsite supervisor is a counselling supervisor and not an AHPRA-registered psychology supervisor, meaning onsite supervision hours will not count toward AHPRA registration.
- Other provisional psychologists on site arrange external supervision with AHPRA-registered supervisors, and their onsite hours count toward registration
- Flexible shifts available Monday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm
- Exposure to eco-therapy and adventure therapy programs utilising nature for therapeutic purposes
- A warm, community-focused team passionate about making a difference
Your Opportunity:
As a provisional psychologist at The Break, you will work across a range of client presentations and populations, gaining hands-on clinical experience in a supportive and structured environment. You will have access to regular support and the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a team dedicated to bridging the gap for those unable to access full-fee psychological services.
Please note this is an unpaid placement opportunity.
