Laura is a Clinical Psychologist, who has worked with child protection agencies and in workplace mental health settings including with emergency responders, correctional facilities and education. Laura is passionate about treating trauma though is also interested in perinatal mental health, intergenerational trauma, family and couple dynamics, and the intersectionality of trauma and adhd. Laura also really enjoys assessment and the puzzle of interpreting psychometrics.
Laura has experience in the following therapeutic interventions: EMDR, Schema, ACT, DBT, TF-CBT, metacognitive therapy and Gottman couples counselling. Laura shapes her practice around models of neurological development and the role of culture. Laura has been in senior management positions and worked in organisational psychology and leadership development. Laura also completed an MBA with a scholarship for Women in Leadership.
Laura has worked in multiple states in Australia with has experience in many regional areas. She has travelled widely and has lived in Sweden for the past four years and gained an international perspective. Laura had her two children in Sweden and moved back to Australia in late 2023. Laura is really passionate about mental health, the systemic changes necessary to improve this and in supporting new Psychologists in this important work.
