📚 The CatholicCare Victoria Professional Development Webinar Series 2025
This series will focus on several of CCV’s counselling services to showcase the varied nature of our service settings and associated client profiles.
The series provides an opportunity to hear from and engage with highly qualified and experienced counselling practitioners and absorb their practice wisdom.
Each webinar focuses on a specific counselling service and will include elements of the 8 Core Competency streams set out in AHPRA’s 5 +1 Internship Guidelines.

Open Doors Counselling Services
Thursday 12th June 2025 | 1:00–2:00pm AEST
CCV’s Open Doors Counselling offers confidential, and compassionate support for individuals and couples affected by unplanned pregnancy or any pregnancy loss.
Clients of our Open Doors counselling service often feel isolated, confused, overwhelmed, and are in shock or crisis mode. Our Open Doors counselling service provides a safe place for our clients to explore their thoughts in a non-judgemental environment, and to work out what’s right for them. Treatments offered may include counselling, psychotherapy, or other services.
Our Open Doors clients are typically dealing with grief associated with: Abortion, Foetal reduction/genetic abnormality, Miscarriage, IVF losses, Ectopic pregnancy, Stillbirth, Infertility, or Relinquishment.

Thursday 19th June 2025 | 12:00–1:00pm AEST
CCV’s Specialist Family Violence Service provides support for people who are experiencing or have experienced family violence.
Family violence can involve various forms of harmful or controlling behaviours including physical abuse, neglect, sexual abuse, emotional or psychological abuse (e.g. constant criticism, humiliation, or controlling behaviours), child abuse, elder abuse, intimate partner violence (e.g. abuse, stalking, threats, isolation), digital or cyber abuse (e.g. using technology to harass, control or intimidate).
Our dedicated team provide counselling, group workshops, education, resources, and referrals (where needed) to support individuals and families affected by domestic violence to establish safe and stable environments in which they can thrive.
