Provisional Psychologist Hub
Supervision Scope Statement for University Placements
Welcome to Provisional Psychologist Hub! We are dedicated to supporting supervisees in developing their skills, confidence, and professional competence through high-quality supervision.
This statement outlines the scope of activities our offsite supervisors can provide during university placements. Its purpose is to ensure clear understanding of responsibilities, boundaries, and expectations for supervisors, supervisees, and universities alike.
Provisional Psychologist Hub supervisors work as independent contractors. Offsite supervisors do not manage workplace operations or oversee the day-to-day activities of the placement onsite.
Time spent on supervision activities within the scope outlined below is considered billable.
Supervisees should ensure their university is aware of the scope of supervision activities and that these align with the placement’s requirements. Using an offsite supervisor comes with some natural limitations, so clear communication with your university is essential.
Supervision usually occurs during scheduled sessions, or at times agreed upon by both the supervisee and supervisor. Additional support outside these sessions is only provided if both parties consent. This ensures everyone—supervisor, supervisee, and university—understands responsibilities, boundaries, and accountability.
