Trained in both the UK and Australia, Rachael has over fifteen years of experience working as a Psychologist. Currently working as a Clinical Supervisor, Psychology Academic and Researcher, Rachael brings together psychological theory and practitioner experience.
Rachael is highly experienced in working with numerous mental health presentations, in particular Personality Disorders, PTSD, Complex Trauma and Dissociation. She has worked across a number of settings including, Community Mental Health (NSW), headspace, International SOS on Nauru, private practice and ACAP. Rachael undertook her PhD at Charles Sturt University, where she conducted research that led to the construction of the 'Differential Emotional Processing Theory of Maladaptive Daydreaming'.
Rachael uses a range of evidence-based therapeutic interventions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Filial Child Play Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Existential Therapy.
