Margaret has experience working in not-for-profit and private practice settings. She began her career in psychology helping job seekers with complex needs, older adults presenting with stage of life issues, problem gamblers, and individuals with chronic health conditions. She has had extensive experience in facilitating psychoeducational groups, risk assessment and counselling skills workshops, as well as lecturing in various psychology programs. Margaret has focused on working with adults, older adolescents, and couples and has primarily drawn on CBT, Schema Therapy and Brief Psychodynamic Therapy approaches in her work. She became a Board approved supervisor in 2014 and has extensive experience in providing supervision for 5th and 6th year provisional psychologists, as well as professional supervision for registered psychologists. Margaret has developed a collaborative and supportive way of working with supervisees while helping them meet the eight core AHPRA competencies and registration requirements.
Margaret sees her work as a psychologist and supervisor to be a privilege and takes genuine interest in helping her supervisees develop their skills and obtain their general registration.
